    Recent research showed that schools are no better off after 10 years of a Labour government churning out policy after policy. And this weekend ASCL general secretary John Dunford called for schools to be less constrained by government policy and more accountable to parents and students. Is it time for the government to take a back seat when it comes to education policy and let schools get on with the job?
