Justice minister, David Hanson has revealed that YOTs will not received additional funding for youth rehabilitation orders when the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill is passed. He said that he didn't have an "extra bag" of cash and implied that the government was going to have to be creative with its money. Yet in the speech before that he was repeating how the government wanted to reduce youth custody and stop more young people entering the criminal justice system. Now maybe I'm being too simplistic but wouldn't extra resources for YOTs help that?
