Steiner and Montessori nurseries unable to opt out of curriculum

Steiner and Montessori nurseries wanting to be exempt from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) could face a bureaucratic nightmare.

It is pathetic giving parents the choice as to whether they want their child to follow the EYFS. a childcare could not follow a split in how she supports a child in their learning. The child will be taught the same as the others in the setting but the parents will not need to be informed about progress the provider will themselves want to know so all adults in the environment are working from the same sheet. I thoght the EYFS was to raise standards in private settings. If they don't have a choice then why should parents.
