There is no doubt that things need to change at Ofsted but they should look to their team development and the working conditions of their inspectors. If we required staff to largely work from home, then go into stressful inspections, and we failed to back them up with effective administration, we would expect to have a demoralised staff. But just to make sure, they were completely undermined we would have move offices, restructure the organisation a couple of times and fiddle with the standards. Jackie, Kids' City

I cant believe this outsourcing in not the answer to child care. standards needs to be maintained. I think ofsted is barking up the wrong tree.

This is going back to the early days lets push the early years to the bottom of the pile. We have already come a long way from being totally ignored, frustrated because no one would listen to us and now we are being pushed back in the same direction. This decision will open the floodgates for those who operate bad practices to continue to do so. Once again those who don't work on the ground level are making decisions without seeking responses for those who these decisions are going to affect.

OFSTED do need to keep their presence felt by all who work with children, The name alone worries management in settings,as they work full steam ahead when they are due a visit. I have seen this first hand and do feel changes are needed for the children of the future. HOW? Surley not by removing the only name Children and parents trust OFSTED.
