    Conservative conference: Tories must end 'Broken Britain' slur, says children's commissioner

    The children's commissioner for England has issued a plea to the Conservative Party to stop branding the country as "Broken Britain".

    Just have a look at the jobs on this website - so many are to help the broken and hurting, I don't think it is somthing we can hide.

    I agree with the commissioner. A whole sector of the society shouldn't be branded in this way.

    We do, of course, have issues which many people writing these responses are helping to deal with and in my eyes there is a lot of work being done which is changing many young lives for the better. Can the Conservatives suddenly turn it all around or is this yet another playground tactic of making what they are say look better?
