As a School Business Manager in a Primary School, I can fully support everything in the above article. I have successfully achieved both the Certificate and Diploma of School Business Management with NCSL and found them to be personally rewarding and enjoyable. Whilst it took a while to achieve the status of SBM within my current school it was well worth the wait. I am now a member of the school's Leadership Team and feel that I can bring a different "perspective" to discussions. Like Debra Moore, I feel that whilst I am not a Teacher, it is imperative to understand the background to curriculum initiatives in order to fully contribute to the strategic management of the school. I would recommend this career to anyone who is looking for a fulfilling role with maximum job satisfaction.
